Usability Report

I conducted a usability report for the Department of Energy's Office of Inspector General (DoE IG), utilizing an unmoderated think-aloud protocol to assess user experiences on the homepage. The aim was to capture participants' initial thoughts and reactions as they navigated the site.

The test participants quickly identified the purpose of the DoE IG homepage and used the available quick links with ease. However, while navigation was straightforward, most participants shared negative feedback about the site's appearance, describing it as "cheap, boring, and old." This detracted from their engagement and led to less detailed commentary during the think-aloud sessions.

Based on these findings, I recommend keeping the current structure and links intact but revamping the homepage's design to provide a more modern and appealing user experience.
